Verdure Venture consulting was founded by Usha Krishnan in June 2008
Usha Krishnan has an MBA (majoring in entrepreneurship) from INSEAD Business School (www.insead.edu) , Fontainebleau (france) and Singapore which is rated as one of the best business schools in the world and is arguably the best school for entrepreneurship in Asia. Through various courses at INSEAD, Usha worked on developing 6 business ideas from just ideas into full-fledged business plans. These business ideas ranged from FMCG products, innovative consumer electronics and online portals, to clean energy reactors. Five out of these six ideas were funded successfully have become startups with Usha’s help in Europe and the UK.

The sixth idea was Verdure Venture Consulting which she decided to make a reality in India.
At INSEAD, Usha had worked on several business ideas and done extensive research and networking to raise funds for them. Through her experiences, she realized the need for professional startup advice for potential entrepreneurs in India. She decided to start Verdure Venture Consulting in June 2008 to fulfill this need. Verdure brings together her extensive networks in the venture capital industry and her knowledge on developing business ideas into startups by finding much needed capital.
Prior to INSEAD, Usha worked in IT consulting for 8 years with companies like Accenture, Infosys and Citibank in software development, project management, software architecting and innovation. She also worked on research projects and helped in ‘taking to market’ several research innovations. This spurred her interest in entrepreneurship and led her to pursue an MBA in the same.
Usha is supported by her husband Mohan Kannegal, who co-founded MeritTrac Services (www.merittrac.com), a startup that went on to become a success.
